Our social philosophy is predicated on the premise that Africans in America and Africans throughout the Diaspora must embrace their rich heritage and must always exude the pride of being an African. This means that Africans should celebrate, remember, and represent their heritage whenever possible without fear of reprisal or simply making someone of another hue feel comfortable when displaying their African pride. 

The social philosophy of Afrikanda also includes that Africans should be mindful of the “Rise Up” principles:

Respect each other

Integrity always

Strength in Numbers

Excellence in all we do

Unity uncompromised

Prudence is a virtue

Our economic philosophy is predicated on the premise that Africans in America and Africans throughout the Diaspora must own, operate and control the economy of their communities. This means that areas that as a culture Black peoples must produce, supply, manufacture, distribute, wholesale, retail, and buy their own goods or services. Areas that are densely populated with African peoples should be commensurate to the business ownerships of those communities. 

For example, if a community is 50% - 80% Black then the businesses of that community should be 50% - 80% Black owned. This includes corporate enterprises such as banks, supermarkets, car dealerships, insurance companies, and other like entities. 

This philosophy is practiced by other groups hence should also be practiced by Africans. It’s absolutely critical that African peoples execute this philosophy whenever and wherever possible.
